Rebecca Lorraine Seay Russell

Rebecca Lorraine Seay Russell, 66, of Marion, passed away at Mission Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

She was born in McDowell County on April 03, 1957 to Fred Arnold Seay and the late Rebecca Christine Bailey Seay.

Rebecca was a member of New Manna Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She retired from Baxter Healthcare following more than twenty-five years of service and was known as a hardworking woman. Rebecca was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her grandchildren were her world. She was kind to everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Rebecca including her father are her husband, Johnny Lane Russell; her five children, Charlie Gardin (Shanna), Andrew Russell, Cole Russell (Casey), Kyle Russell (Kayla) and Jamie Russell; a sister, Myra Warf (Bill); a brother, Fred Seay; eleven grandchildren, Simon Gardin, Spencer Gardin, Wilson Gardin, Jade Russell, Blaklyn Russell, Conner Loftis, Chloe Russell, Charleigh Russell, Oliver Russell, Payton Russell and Mattie Russell and a great granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at New Manna Baptist Church on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Tony Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
