Rebecca Jane Shiflet Jimeson

Rebecca Jane Shiflet Jimeson, 90, of Marion, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 at The Greens of Spruce Pine.

She was born in McDowell County on November 13, 1935 to the late William Shiflet and Ermon McConnell Shiflet.

Jane attended Garden Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping and singing. Known as a wonderful cook, Jane also enjoyed crafts and word searches. She truly loved her family and they will miss her presence in their lives immensely.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray “Jackie” Jimeson, Jr.; and two sisters, Anne West and Mary Laughridge.

She is survived by five children, John Jimeson, III (Lois), Yvette Gerrity (Jim), Jeff Jimeson (Rita), Jerry Jimeson, and Gwyn Jimeson; daughter-in-law, Rachael Jimeson; thirteen grandchildren, Jesse, Jason, Jacob, Andrew, Nick, Jordan, Jayden, Jamie, Joshua, Pam, Freda, Sherry, and Donna; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Eckard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
