Rebecca Jo Deal

Rebecca Jo Hayes Deal, age 71, of Morganton, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.  The daughter of the late Rumulus and Ada Transou Hayes, she was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina on July 21, 1949.

An amazing, loving and hard-working wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Albert Charles Deal; one daughter, Cynthia Deal McCaslin (Alan); one step daughter, Tammy Stevens (Donald); one sister, Emily T. Punch (Dean); two grandchildren, Amanda Taylor (Bradley) and Brian Silver; one great grandson, Dawson Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and her special friend for many years, Judy Davis.  Rebecca is also survived by her cat, Whiskers, who was always by her side. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton with Rev. David Bean officiating.
