Randy Hutchins

Randy Hutchins, passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on June 23, 1961, in McDowell County, Randy dedicated over 30 years of his life to serving as an integral part of the McDowell School Bus Garage, where he was admired for his commitment and reliability.

Randy's passion for life extended beyond his professional achievements. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often found walking or riding his bike through the beautiful scenery that surrounded him. Additionally, he was a talented carpenter, known for his skillful hands and creative eye in home remodeling projects.

He leaves behind a loving family who cherish his memory, including his son, Nick Hutchins, and his wife, Tonya; his daughter, Paige Hendley; his sister, DeAnna Hall; and his grandchildren, Hanna Patrick, Hunter Hutchins Patrick, and Calen Patrick. Also surviving his nephews, Bryan and Stevie Hutchins.

Randy will be remembered not only for his work ethic and talents but also for his warmth and kindness. He made a significant impact in the lives of those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt.
