Ralph Wayne McClellan, Sr.

Ralph Wayne McClellan, Sr., 79, of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

A native of Spruce Pine, Ralph was born December 11, 1943 to the late Oscar and Ivy Buchanan McClellan.

Ralph worked as a machinist his whole life and was formerly employed with Gunter’s Machine Shop. He was a true craftsman who could make anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, carp fishing, and blacksmithing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lois McClellan; and a sister, Kathy Burleson.

He is survived by his son, Ralph McClellan, Jr.; and three siblings, Charles, Joanne, and Nancy.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
