Rae Julian

Rae Julian, beloved mother and friend, went to be with Christ peacefully at 4:40 am on Thursday, June 13th, 2024. She was 73 years old.

Rae's funeral service will be held at Southside Baptist Church in Concord, NC, at noon on Saturday, June 29th. The service will be followed by a fellowship meal, potluck style, where all are welcome to join and share in celebrating her life.

Rae is survived by her two sons, Benjamin Riley Ottinger, age 48, and Brian Richard Ottinger, age 46. She was well known for her outgoing personality and friendliness, often said to have never met a stranger.

Rae dedicated herself as a faithful mother, raising her two sons with love and care. Once her sons were grown, Rae pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. She returned to school, earned her nursing degree, and spent 30 years compassionately serving others in her community.

She is preceded in death by her brother Curt, sister Robin, and parents Merle and Jack. Rae's legacy of kindness, dedication, and service to others will be remembered by all who knew her.
