Pollyanna Hester Boyer

Pollyanna Hester Boyer, born August 8, 1946 departed her earthly body on July 25, 2026 anticipating her glorified body and the embrace of her Messiah, Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah.

She is the mother of Bret Jacob Boyer; her daughter-in-law is Sharon Meland Boyer; her granddaughter is Emma Grace Boyer.

Pollyanna graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1968. She taught first grade at Eugene Cross Elementary School in Marion, NC.

The majority of her work experience was spent at Baxter Healthcare. She ended her working career as a receptionist at NC Works in Marion, NC.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William McDonald (Mack) Hester and Emma Bradburn Hester; her husband, James Dwight Boyer; three sisters, Betty Hester Coward, Nada Hester Thomas, and Linda Hester Villagrana; and her nephew, William McDonald Coward.

She is survived by her sister, Jane Allison (Jack); eleven nieces and nephews, and seventeen great nieces and nephews.

She was a resident of Blue Ridge Terrace apartments in Marion.

Her cousin, Elaine was her faithful lifelong friend. Her nephew Russell Lee England, legally her brother, has helped take care of her along with his wife Mary Lou Ellin Crowe. Jack and Jane Allison also helped support her. Bret and Sharon Boyer helped her too.
