Phillip Dale Thomas, age 42, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Cleveland County, Phillip was born on March 19, 1977 to Joseph Dale Thomas and the late Kathy Byers Thomas.
Phillip enjoyed the outdoors especially gardening. He was a Chicago Bears, North Carolina Tarheels and Atlanta Braves fan. He also loved watching movies.
Along with his father, he is survived by one daughter, Heather Marie Thomas; one brother, Mark Anthony Thomas and one sister, Amy Nicole Thomas. Also surviving Phillip are aunts, Roseanna McSwain and Betty Jane Thomas; one uncle, Steve Byers and a number of cousins.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Phillip’s memory are asked to consider help with final expenses.
