Phillip Leon Jackson

In the early morning hours of Friday, September 16, 2022, Phillip Leon Jackson passed away at Lake Norman Regional Hospital. A native of McDowell County, Phillip was born on April 8, 1957 to the late Ernest Conley and Annie Jackson Logan.

He is preceded in death by one son, Phillip Jerril Jackson; one grandson, Harold Collins, III and one brother, David Twitty.

Phillip retired from Baxter Healthcare following thirty-four years of service. He enjoyed detailing cars and was an Oakland Raiders fan. Phillip was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by three children, Shamika Fowler, Chanda Henry and Toran Whitesides; three siblings, Vera Toms, Annie Cunningham and Peter Jackson. Also surviving Phillip are three grandchildren, Zayeveon Fowler, Zoei Fowler and Tobias Henry.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Michael Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
