Phil Marshall Lowery

Phil Marshall Lowery, 79, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

He was born in Franklin, North Carolina on May 20, 1943 to the late Marshall and Myrtle Lowery. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Carnahan.

A dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Old Fort, Phil served as a deacon and as former Sunday School director and teacher. He was the owner and operator of Mustard’s Last Stand for many years and thoroughly enjoyed serving his community through his business. Phil will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful friend. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Taylor Lowery; two children, Phillip Lowery (Lisa) and Wendy Gaffigan; four grandchildren, Megan Gaffigan Favorite, Scott Gaffigan, Brian Lowery, and Ansley Lowery; one great grandchild, Christopher Favorite; and one sister, Mona Jarrett.

In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life.
