Pauline Wilson Loftis

On the morning of Friday, January 30, 2026, Pauline Wilson Loftis, age 92, went to be with the Lord at Autumn Care of Marion.

A native of Yancey County, she was born February 8, 1933 to the late Bascom Wilson and Ethel Shuford Wilson.

Pauline formerly lived at Blue Ridge Terrace Apartments for over twenty years. While there, she attended church services where she enjoyed worshipping the Lord. A faithful follower of Christ, Pauline devoted much time to reading her Bible. When she was able, she cherished time spent shopping or eating at restaurants. She will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Loftis, and her brothers and sisters, J.B. Wilson, Herman Wilson, Fred Wilson, Ruth Loftis, and Mable Fairchild.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Pat Rominger (Kenneth), Roger Loftis (Sheila), and Randy Loftis (Debbie); five grandchildren, Jenifer Banks (Timothy), Chad Loftis (Heather), Tyler Loftis (Brittany), Joey Loftis (Donna), and Shea Miller (Eric); and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chad Wise officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Autumn Care for the exceptional care they provided to Pauline.
