Paula Lee Smith

Mrs. Paula Lee Smith, age 62, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away at Mission Memorial Campus on Monday, October 5, 2020. She was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on January 1, 1958. She was the daughter of Stanley Fortner and Joyce Honeycutt Van Patton.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Renee Fortner.

Paula was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She mostly enjoyed walking on the beach and listening to the waves. She also loved gardening with her flowers, cooking and hiking to waterfalls.

She is survived by her husband, of 20 years, David Smith, three sons, Spencer Bradley (Nateara), Daniel Bradley, Joshua Smith and one daughter, Alexandria Smith. She’s also survived by one sister, Kay Branton (Dean) and one brother, Ronnie Fortner (Kathy).  Also surviving her are her 10 grandchildren that were her world.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 08, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion. A graveside service will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Youngs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville.
