Having grown up at Maranatha Baptist church I knew what an example Mr. Silver was to all. His memory will live on in my heart as the memory of his family that has gone on has.
What a blessing to have those precious memories.
What a blessing his life was to so many and the things he believed was taught also by a life of example.
May his legacy live on through others he touched as well!
Our prayers go out to you Billy!

Very thankful for the example Preacher Silver set before us for so many years. As a teen, my life was impacted so much by his preaching, and I'm so grateful for the many things I learned from him. Truly his legacy will live for many generations to come. As his favorite Verse, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
I wish we could be present today to celebrate his life and Homegoing, but our prayers are definitely uplifted for Billy and the rest of the family and friends.

I fondly recall our years together at Providence Road. Rev. Silver was a godly man, an excellent expositor of the Scripture, and a friend to his membership. Praying for the family during this time.
