Pamela "Pam" Young Sisk

Pam Sisk, 70, of Marion passed away at Mission McDowell on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Pam was born in McDowell County on December 07, 1953 to Octavius “Tag” Young and Estella Randolph Young who both preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Jone Rhymer, Barbara Walker and Carol McCurry. 

Pam especially enjoyed bird watching but loved to watch all animals. She was known to feed the coyotes, racoons, fox and all the animals on her property. She loved working in her garden and growing vegetables. She was known for her wonderful cooking skills and loved to cook. Pam loved her family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Surviving Pam are her husband, Jerry Sisk; her children, Breaa Bowman (Bryan), Leah Shirlen, and Trevor Sisk all of Marion; sisters, Diana Lewis and Debbie Crawford both of Marion; two grandchildren, Alyssa Bowman and Rhett Sisk along with many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at New Manna Baptist Church on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tony Shirley and Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Flowers are welcome and the family request that any donations be made to New Manna Baptist Church.

The family would like to say thank you to the EMS, First Responders, and Law Enforcement that were present.  Thank you to the McDowell Hospital doctors, nurses and staff, and a special thank you to family friend and neighbor, Amy Hudgins with the Marion Fire Department.
