Norman Lee Stevens

Norman Lee Stevens, 78, of Marion, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

He was born in Old Fort on June 24, 1945 to the late William Randolph Stevens, Sr. and Ruby Frances Melton Stevens.

Norman was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a talented craftsman who could build anything. He often built furniture for himself and for his family. Earlier in life, he enjoyed racing cars and doing mechanic work. He remained a fan of racing throughout his whole life. Norman loved sharing stories and jokes with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Scotty Allen Stevens; and five brothers, Sam Freeman, Calvin Stevens, Arnold Stevens, Dean Stevens, and Bill Stevens.

He is survived by four children, Rodney Stevens (Rhonda), Pamela Waters (Chris), Deanna Banks (Tim), and Brian Stevens (Tina); twenty grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; five siblings, Shirley Laws, Verdie Propst, Cindy Johnson (Tommy), Rita Barnett; and Jimmy Stevens (Toni); and daughter-in-law, Debra Stevens.

In accordance with Norman’s wishes, no services will be held.
