Nora Marie Bolden Davis

Nora Marie Bolden Davis, 87, of Marion, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born in the Grassy Creek Community of Mitchell County on November 9, 1936 to the late Robert Lee Bolden and Rosetta McKinney Bolden. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Rogers; and a grandson, Jeff Price.

She worked in the computer room at Galey and Lord where she retired with over 40 years of service. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and brother. Her family was her world. Nora truly lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling with her family. She never slowed down even when she felt bad. She loved to laugh and will be remembered fondly by all.

She is survived by three children, Randy Eugene Hollifield, Tina Hendley, and Kathy Church (Mark); four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one brother, Clifford “Chuck” Bolden (Glennis).

In accordance with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Dysartsville Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The American Heart Association.
