Mildred "Mitzi" Alice Hall Haynes

Mildred “Mitzi” Alice Hall Haynes passed away at Autumn Care of Marion on the morning of Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the age of 86. 

Mitzi was born on January 26, 1938 in McDowell County to her late parents, Gettys Harold Hall, Sr. and Juanita Poteat Stamey. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Haynes. 

She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and in her earlier career worked as a beautician. Mitzi was known as a wonderful cook and enjoyed making delicious meals for her family. She loved helping others and was all about family. Watching her kids and grandkids play sports were some of the most important and enjoyable times of her life. She will be greatly missed. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rachel Haynes, Teri Patrick (Terry) and Mike Haynes (Lisa); two sisters, Grace Davis and Janet Davis; a brother, Harold Hall; five grandchildren, Brandon Cunningham, Ethan Patrick, Aaron Patrick, Carrmen Haynes and Connor Haynes and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mitzi will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. A new date and time will be announced.
