Mary Frances Wilson

Mary Frances Wilson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the Mountain Ridge Health and Wellness Center. Born on July 21, 1951, in McDowell County, Mary lived a life characterized by her kindness, compassion, and dedication to caring for others.

Mary was known for her nurturing spirit and was a devoted caregiver. She often found joy in helping those in need, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Her caring nature extended beyond her family, as she actively sought to lend a helping hand whenever possible.

An avid bargain hunter, Mary enjoyed frequent visits to local markets in search of the best deals. This pastime brought her much delight.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sons, Anthony “Tony” Clark (Patricia) and Steven Clark; her brother, Steral Franklin (Brenda); and her cherished grandchildren, Breanna Clark, Nichols Munn, Isis Abbott, Ashley Biddix, Timothy Clark, and Julian Clark. Mary's legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Franklin; her mother, Pansey Wilson Franklin; her daughters, Amy Carey and Melissa Munn; and her grandson, Joshua Clark. Their memory remains a cherished part of her life story.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
