Mary Ellen Wilson Haynes, age 61, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mission Hospital-McDowell. She was born on November 26, 1960 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to the late James and Rachel Romine Wilson.
Mary loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and working puzzles. She will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Franklin Haynes; two children, Angela Wilson Skora and Melody Wilson Laudermilk (Jason); three step-children, Jeremy Haynes, Lucretia Haynes and Keisha Haynes. Also surviving Mary are four grandchildren, Josh Wilson, Savannah Thomas, Jamie Thomas and Rachel Wilson; four step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
An interment will take place at Glenwood Cemetery.
