Mary Ivis Connor

Mary Ivis Connor, 85, of Marion, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born on June 17, 1938 to the late Horace and Maggie Connor. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Zelda Lawing.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelia Boyd (Shane) and Amy Hamrick (Doug); seven grandchildren, Stephanie Queen (Dale), Jeffrey Queen (Crystal), Dustin Queen (Casey), Daniel Munger, Shandi Davis (Mark), Brandon Queen (Bridget), and Shanna Ligon (Greg); fifteen great grandchildren who knew her as Granny and were her pride and joy; two sisters, Elsie Toney (David) and Mildred Laughter (Ralph); two brothers, Gerald Connor (Eunice) and Jerry Connor (Betty); and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Cindy Reel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Charles Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
