Mary Lou Radford Cable

     Mary Lou Radford Cable, 79, of Marion, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Solace Center in Asheville.

     Mary Lou was born in Marion, NC, on May 17, 1946, to the late Clay Dean Radford and Martha Mae Mace Radford. She was married to the late Don Cable. Mary Lou was a member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church, where she enjoyed the company of her many friends. She enjoyed planting flowers and baking, and was well known for her delicious cornbread. Mary Lou was a very thoughtful, uplifting, and compassionate lady, and a devoted wife and mother. Her entire world revolved around her family. She will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.

     In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Sanders; and a brother, Henry Radford.

     Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Bryan Cable (Sandi); a daughter, Shannon Cable; a sister, Gail Lightfoot; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Turkey Cove Baptist Church. Rev. Jody McGaha will officiate and Rev. David Edwards will assist. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
