Mary Ann (Curtis) Biddix

October 25, 1941 – June 18, 2024

Mary Ann Curtis Biddix, 82, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away after a brief and sudden illness on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Mission Hospital-Asheville with her loving family by her side. 

A native of Marion, she was born October, 25, 1941 to the late Woodrow and Dorothy Schism Curtis.

Mary Ann was a faithful member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Known for her famous biscuits and gravy and homemade soup. Mary spent many hours in her flower beds and in the garden beside her loving husband. She absolutely loved doing her word search puzzles and anything Elvis. In her later years, she spent her time with her beloved children and grandchildren. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fate Harold Biddix who passed away on her birthday in 2022.

She is survived by her four children, Cindy Biddix (Eli), Harold Biddix (Marcell), Julie Tyree (Ray), and Karen Biddix; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 at Turkey Cove Baptist Church followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 with Pastor David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Turkey Cove Cemetery.
