Mary Ann Brown Teaster

Mary Ann Brown Teaster, 77, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her residence.

A native of Marion, she was born on March 20, 1945 to the late Woodrow Thomas Brown and Ella Marie Duncan Brown.

Mary Ann had a deep and genuine concern for those in her life. She enjoyed knitting in her spare time, and her grandchildren were very special to her. She attended Grandview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two siblings, Cora Hollifield and Fred Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Sylvester Teaster; two children, Robert Teaster (Jennifer) and Lisa Freeman (Jim); four grandchildren, Patrick Buchanan, Timmy Buchanan, Andrew Buchanan, and Sebastian Teaster; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Mace and Willa Williams.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Charles Dicks officiating. No visitation will be held.
