Marie Moore

Marie Wilkinson Moore, 69, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at sunset on April 24, 2021, with her daughter and a dear friend at her side. After a lengthy illness, Marie was ready to “go home”. On a rainy day, a brief moment of sunshine stole in the window, and carried her from pain. An angel on earth, she now flies with her own kind. 

Born and raised in Houston, TX, spending much of her life in the Austin area, Marie moved to North Carolina in 2000 to be near the Blue Ridge mountains that called to her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tera Dallas (Trevor); her beloved grandchildren Kade and Coral; her sisters, Margo, Glenna & Kitty; her brother John; her niece, Mikayla; her nephews Blaise and Joshua; her soul-sister Kishna, and many loving friends that were family to her.

An intimate service will be held at The Pond at Laurel Cove, in Old Fort, NC on May 22nd.
