Maria Margaret Adkins

     Maria Margaret Adkins, 93, of Swannanoa, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.

     Maria was born in Germany to the late Adolf and Clara Haller. After the war, she married Charles Moore, an American soldier, and moved to the United States. Following the passing of her husband, Charles, Maria married Paul Adkins, who also preceded her in death. For leisure, Maria enjoyed baking and crocheting. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.  

     She is survived by a daughter, Judy Buckner; a granddaughter, Julie Buchanan (Michael); and a great granddaughter, Amelia Padgett.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
