Margie Kelly

Margie Branch Kelly, age 64, of Marion, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at the SECU Hospice House in Forest City.  The daughter of the late Margie Autrey Branch and Dean Branch of Marion, she was born in Mitchell County, North Carolina on May 19, 1953.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Drury.

Margie, who loved and was loved by her family, church family and friends, never met a stranger.  She enjoyed playing the piano; and had played for Outward Reach Singers. 

Left to cherish her precious memories, in addition to her father, her husband of 48 years, Eddie Kelly; two sons, Matt Kelly and Daniel Kelly, both of Marion, North Carolina; two sisters, Donnie Parker (Todd) of Newport, North Carolina and Ginger Fisher (Scott) of Marion, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Aviah Kelly; a number of nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Miss Margie will be held on Thursday, August 03, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, at which she was a member of, with Rev. Ray Stockton officiating.  Interment will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service, at the church.
