Margie Lee Hollifield Cruz

Margie Lee Hollifield Cruz, 59, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her residence.

She was born December 04, 1961 to Peggy Biggerstaff Hollifield and the late Marlowe Hollifield. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hollifield.

Margie enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife and mother, but being a grandmother was her greatest joy. She loved her grandbabies immensely. She was a sweet lady who cared about everyone. Margie enjoyed visiting thrift stores and crafting, crocheting, and reading.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Fortunato Cruz; two daughters, Donna Pate (James) and Krystle Lunsford (Michael Propst); four grandchildren, Aurora Pate, Andrew Pate, Harley Pate, and Alex Propst; and one brother, William Hollifield (Lena).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 02, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pate Residence, 4012 Old Hwy 10 E, Nebo, North Carolina 28761.
