Margaret Katherine Edwards Pack

     Margaret Katherine Edwards Pack, 95, of Nebo, was received in the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at UNC Healthcare Blue Ridge in Morganton.

     Margaret was born in McDowell County, NC on October 13, 1930 to the late Beatrice Reel Edwards. She was married to her husband of 58 years, Walter Fred Pack, who passed away in 2008. Margaret was a Christian lady who devoted her life to the Church. She loved to teach Sunday School and was an active member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. She was also well known for being an excellent cook. Most of all, Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.

     In addition to her husband and mother, Margaret was preceded in death by her step father, Glenn Mace, Sr.; and her sister, Audrey.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sharon “Shá” Pack; her son, Terry Pack (Anita); her brother, Glenn “Sonny” Mace, Jr. (Linda); her grandson, Jeremy Pack; a special niece, Patricia Hawkins (Gary); and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Kagan Young will officiate. Burial will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Church.

     Flowers are welcomed and appreciated, but those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
