Margaret Geraldine Corn Owenby

Margaret Geraldine Corn Owenby, 88, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Autumn Care of Marion.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on October 21, 1932 to the late Ellie Jerome Corn and Florence Marie Gaddy Corn. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Corn and son-in-law, Lee Bowman.

Margaret was a member of West Marion Baptist Church and will be remembered as a very sweet lady. Her family meant the world to her. She had a great love for her grandkids. Margaret enjoyed going to the Senior Center and beach trips with her daughters. She also enjoyed her Friday night Canasta games with family.

She is survived by her three children, Donna Bowman, Karen Wright (Bill), and Kevin Owenby (Kimberly); and her two grandchildren, Emma Marie Owenby and Phypher Rae Owenby.

A private graveside service will be held at Cross Memorial Park.
