Marcus Jerraine Williams "Boo Boo"

Marcus Jerraine Williams, age 41, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Affectionately known by many as “Boo Boo”, he was born in Marion, North Carolina on January 21, 1980 and was the son of Althea Felice Whiteside of Lake Lure, North Carolina and the late John Albert Wilkerson.

Marcus enjoyed being outdoors, walking and doing yard work. He loved listening to music, but most of all, he absolutely loved being with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Belinda Caldwell, Diane Wilkerson and Roberta Wilkerson; two brothers, John Albert Wilkerson, Jr. and Joseph Jerome Thomas; two aunts, Linda Whiteside and Hattie Kelly; and his step father, Deon Whiteside. Marcus is also survived by a host of niece, nephew, cousins and friends.

In keeping with “Boo Boo’s” love of the outdoors, a gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Joseph McDowell Historical Catawba Greenway located behind the SONIC in Marion.
