LuAnn Brown Fonville

LuAnn Brown Fonville, 68, passed on to her eternal home on May 1, 2024. After a long and courageous fight with cancer, LuAnn peacefully left all of her sickness behind as she was surrounded by her family.

LuAnn was born in Durham, NC on March 29, 1956. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Jeff “Jabo” Ledford; daughter, Jennifer Elliott; son, Thomas Martin; granddaughters, Amanda Coleman and Savanah Elliott; great grandchildren, Alekai, Allen, Aiden, Madison, Liam, and Lucas. She is also survived by her sisters, Terri Johnson and Jan Barbee as well as her many nieces and nephews.

LuAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Carola Marie Watson Brown House and William Price Brown; her stepfather, William Roy House; and her sister, Brenda Brown Johnson.

A memorial service will be held to honor her life on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service.

Her family will also be receiving visitors at her home at 185 Sweetgum Drive, Nebo, NC.

LuAnn’s family would like to thank all of the caring nurses and staff at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC for the caring and compassionate care that they showed her and the thoughtfulness and consideration that they showed to her family.
