Lois Christine Setzer Hutchins

On the morning of Monday, May 15, 2023 Lois Christine Setzer Hutchins, 86, of Nebo, passed away at her residence.

Lois was born in McDowell County on January 2, 1937 to the late James Setzer Sr., and the late Loise Lee Setzer. She was known as a sweet and out going lady. She enjoyed making floral arrangements at the trade lot. Lois was a loving partner, mother, and grandmother. Her smile and laughter will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her companion, Jim Jenkins; her son, Cecil Mark Carter and his wife Davida; stepchildren, Sandra Holland (David), Ricky Hutchins and Elaine Hutchins; Crystal Burleson (Matthew) who she thought of as a daughter; three grandchildren, Mark Carter, Kenneth White (Phoebe) and Curtis White-Enis; four great grandchildren, Marcus Carter, Tristan Carter, Easton White and Sawyer White; one great-great grandchild, Holly Carter and a number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Murphy’s Chapel on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 am.
