Linda Louise Hardy Rutherford

Linda Louise Hardy Rutherford, born on February 6, 1952, in McDowell County, passed away on April 29, 2025, at Memorial Mission in Asheville. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Eugene Rutherford Sr., and her parents, Melvin Rutherford and Eula Virginia Hardy. Linda was also preceded by her siblings, Irene Wilkerson, Charles Hardy, Dortha Carson, Billy Hardy, and Ralph Hardy.

A cherished member of her family, Linda is survived by her daughter, Amy Rutherford (Linza Williams), and her son, Bobby E Rutherford, Jr. (Grecia Pineda). She was a loving grandmother to her granddaughters, Ariel Lineberger, and Alena Lopez; and grandson, Erim Rutherford, who will carry forward her loving spirit and treasured memories.

Linda was known for her selfless nature and had an enduring love for family gatherings, where her warm presence could light up the room. She formally attended St. Johns A.M.E. Church, where she found community and fellowship.

An avid lover of nature, Linda enjoyed fishing and working in her yard, tending to the beauty that surrounded her. Her passion for antiques and her appreciation for older music and dancing reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life.

Her visitation will be held on May 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752 . Rev. Arell Rutherford will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at St. Johns A.M.E. Cemetery.

Linda Louise Hardy Rutherford's life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and joyful pursuits. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
