Linda Jean Mason Davis

Linda Jean Mason Davis, 74, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born in Buncombe County to the late Sam Mason and Bea Burgin Mason on October 31, 1946.

Jean enjoyed watching wildlife and looking at flowers. She liked to go to Cade’s Cove and visiting Cataloochee. She was especially fond of deer, bear, and turkeys. Jean was a very smart lady who enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles. She often read a book a day. Jean was a good cook, and she enjoyed doing different activities with her son including attending concerts, races, wrestling matches, going to the movies, and going on cruises.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Lynn Davis.

She is survived by her son Christopher Davis and a sister, Brenda Joan Walker.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion.
