Linda Mullis Davidson

Linda Mullis Davidson, age 78, of Marion, NC went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, February, 8th 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. A native of Concord, NC, born July 9th, 1945, Linda lived in Concord, NC, central Georgia, and then retired to Marion. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charley J and Vera Mullis and youngest sister, Gail, who died in youth. 

Linda was a member of Clinchfield Baptist Church in Marion, and had previously been a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion and Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, GA. She retired from a career with Raytheon, a contractor to the Air Force, and in her retirement loved to garden, travel, spend time with family, and teach her faith to her peers at her church. Linda’s devotion to her gardens, her family, her church, and her faith will be remembered by all who loved her. 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Wayne, her two sons, Eric and Shannon, daughter-in-law Kimberly, and granddaughter, Catie; also her sisters, Carol Blackwelder (Buddy) and Jewel Payne; and her brothers, Charlie J. Mullis (Ruth) and Larry J Mullis.

The family will hold a visitation on February 24th at 2pm until 3pm at Clinchfield Baptist Church in Marion, NC. (1150 E Court St, Marion, NC 28752). A Celebration of Life will follow at 3pm at the church.

Those wishing to contribute may do so in either or both of the following ways: 

1. In support of Linda’s love of flowers and gardening, those wishing to send plants and flowers may have them sent to the church for presentation during the Celebration of Life service. 
2. Those wishing to donate may send funds to Clinchfield Baptist Church with a memo in memoriam of Linda.
