Linda Lou Fowler Cody

Linda Lou Fowler Cody, age 76, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Troy and Corrina Green Fowler, on October 28, 1944, in Johnston County, North Carolina.

Linda was a loving mother, sister and nanny. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was lovingly called Nanny by everyone.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her two daughters, Samantha Riddle (Jeff) and Dawn Cody Riddle; five bonus children, Keith Cody (Teresa), Jerry Cody (Cindy), Sherry Moore (Freddie), Tammy Lilly (Randy) and Pamela Cody Mathis; two sisters, Hersey Parrish and Gracie Eason; four grandchildren, Angel Riddle, Jay Riddle, Lindsey Riddle and Lacey Riddle; four great grandchildren, Daze Chrisawn, Colton Joel Twitty, Aainya Riddle and Tyrie Riddle and special friends, Lorretta Buchanan, Eunice Fender and Lou Padgham.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service, with Tony Shirley and Matt McDaniel officiating. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
