Lillian Ruth Surrett Lance

     Lillian Ruth Surrett Lance, 83, of Marion, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Solace Center in Asheville.

     Lillian was born on April 3, 1942, in Canton, NC, to the late Riley Surrett and Lilly Johnson Surrett. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Ralph Surrett and John Surrett; two sisters, Frankie Ballard and Reva Weatherman.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 34 years, Jim Lance; three daughters, Robin Barnett, Donna Berlage, and Lori Lusk; three sons, Tim Triplett, Jim Triplett, and Matt Triplett, a sister, Jo Singleton; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     A service to honor Lillian’s memory will be held at a later date.
