Lawrence Day, Jr.

     Lawrence “L.D.” Day, Jr., 74, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Charles F. George VA Medical Center in Asheville.

     L.D. was born in Caldwell County, NC on July 30, 1951, to the late Lawrence Day, Sr. and Rosa Lee Moses Day. He was married to the late Wanda Kay Holloway Day, his wife of 44 years. L.D. served his country proudly with the United States Army. He was well known in the community for his service and willingness to help others in need. He was also an excellent cook. L.D. will always be loved and remembered.

     In addition to his wife and parents, L.D. was preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor Aaron Day; and a brother, Randolph Wayne Day.

     Survivors include two sons, Jeff Day (Karena) and Jason “J.J.” Day (Michele); a sister, Betty Arrowood (Norris); a granddaughter, Ashley Day; and three great grandchildren, Peyton Buff, Ryland Buff, and Leighton Buff.

     In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
