Larry Dean Jones, 74, of Banner Elk, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with his family by his side.
He was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on January 25, 1950. He was married to Gwen Thomas Jones for nearly 46 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served from 1968 to 1970. Larry was the founder of Fred & Larry's Coffee Shop in Sugar Mountain, North Carolina where he worked as long as his health allowed.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
