Krystal Renee Johnson

Krystal Renee Johnson, 38, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Burke County on December 20, 1986. Krystal, who was a very lovable young lady, had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed making others smile and laugh. Krystal loved a wide range of music. She was a fashionable person who enjoyed shopping.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Brian Yount; paw-paws, Virgil Price and Bob Yount; and an uncle, Eddie Price.

Those left to cherish her memory are her partner, John Wilkerson; children, Shayla Connelly, Natyri Davis, and Nova Wilkerson; parents, Jerry Johnson and Virginia “Jennie” Johnson (Dwayne); grandchildren, Piper Martin, Justice Rumley, and one granddaughter on the way, her sister, Kristie Yutzy (Glenn); three nieces, Parker, Sutton, and Ezra; maternal grandmother, Vickie Price; paternal grandmother, Marty Yount; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m., at North Morganton United Methodist Church, Morganton, NC; with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
