Kimberly Owensby Proctor

Kimberly Owensby Proctor, age 58, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born March 25, 1965 to the late Jim Holtzclaw and Betty Bright Holtzclaw.

Kim was known for her outgoing personality, and was always willing to help others no matter who they were or what their situation. She had a willing heart and a gift for being a caregiver to others in need. Kim was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Proctor; two brothers, Mickey Dean Owensby and Gregory Lee Holtzclaw; and grandmother Minnie Thomas.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Holtzclaw; three children, Jennifer Dowdle (Clay), Brennan Proctor and Morgan Proctor; two brothers Tim Holtzclaw (Karen) and Keith Holtzclaw (Karen); three grandchildren Grayson, Addley and Brooks Dowdle. Kim was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion, NC with the reverends Gary Webb and David Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
