Kimberly Annette Shuford Matthews

Kimberly Annette Shuford Matthews, 53, of Marion, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her residence.

Kim was born in McDowell County, NC, on August 5, 1971, to Armenda Hudgins Shuford and the late Louie Gene Shuford. Kim was a hardworking mom and was known for her straight forward personality. She really enjoyed watching her children play softball. Her family was her rock and the center of her life. She will always be loved and missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Armenda Shuford; three children, Tylor Matthews, Desirae Matthews (Nicholas), and Serenity Matthews; and a sister, Teresa Gardin (Gary).

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Beam Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
