Kevin Dwayne Reel

Kevin Dwayne Reel, 45, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

A native of McDowell County, Kevin was born March 17, 1980 to Frances Conner Reel and the late Rev. David Junior Reel.

Kevin was a skilled automotive mechanic, and he also formerly worked at the Hook & Anchor. He was a big music fan and a lover of all things outdoors. Kevin was known to have never met a stranger. Above all, he loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Thurlie Reel, and his brother Michael David Reel.

Along with his mother, Frances Reel, he is survived by his girlfriend, Billie Harmon, and his children, Kayli Reel, Abigail Reel, Allison Harmon, and Kinsley Harmon.
