Kevin A. Carson

Mr. Kevin A. Carson, age 65, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 05, 2019. The son of the late Martin and Frances Copening Carson, he was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on August 20, 1954.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lionel Carson and Darrel “Dib” Carson.
A talented and creative artist, Kevin enjoyed fishing. He loved spending quality time with his family.
He is survived by three children, Kealon Carson (Tressa), Takerra Carson and Chaston Carson; siblings, Stanley Carson, William Otis Carson (Elka), Dean Carson (Gloria), Edward Carson, John Carson, Marilyn Carson (Ken), Freida Carson-Collins (Nelson) and Rosa Annette Carson Pernell (James); nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Beverly Carson.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carson will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion.
