Kenneth Stanley Newton

     Kenneth Stanley Newton, 55, of Marion, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his residence.

     Kenneth was born in McDowell County, NC, to Theresa Lou McKinney Newton and the late Kenneth Bea Newton. From an early age, Kenneth worked with his father and brother in the concrete business. He was called, “Mr. Norris” by his special Aunt, Sadie. Kenneth loved the outdoors and was a fan of country music. He was a cowboy and horse enthusiast who enjoyed coon and deer hunting. Kenneth was a man of his word who always made sure to provide for his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

     In addition to his father, Kenneth was preceded in death by two cousins, who were as close as siblings, Paula McKinney and Travis McKinney; and his beloved horse, Rough Rider.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his companion of more than 20 years, Elaine Rhom Bollinger; his mother, Theresa Newton; a sister, Angela Moore; a brother, Robert Newton; two special cousins, Cindy Lamb and Rosie McKinney; and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Burial will follow at McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
