Kenneth Eugene Hollifield

Kenneth Eugene Hollifield, 79, of Claremont, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at his residence.

A native of McDowell County, he was born September 2, 1945 to the late Willie Hollifield and Edith Barlowe Hollifield.

Ken worked as a mechanic for many years. He especially enjoyed working on classic cars and trucks. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Ken was a true people person who never met a stranger. He had a passion for all animals and helping others. Camping with family and friends brought him great joy. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Gregg Hollifield; one daughter, Lisa Hollifield Messer (Rick); three grandchildren, Heather Yelton (Ben), Timothy Davis, and Sydney Olson (Paul); and four great- grandchildren, Regan, Jackson, Kylie, and Emilia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m.
