Katie Elizabeth Mace Mosley

Katie Elizabeth Mace Mosley, of Marion, passed away at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, her 84th birthday.

A native of McDowell County, she was one of thirteen children born to the late Roy Mace and Gertrude Price Mace.

Katie was formerly employed in the textile industry in the sewing department at both Washington Mills and Hanes. She was very dedicated to her family and was known to extend a helping hand to her family members in their times of need. She further demonstrated her loving and caring nature by the care she gave to her mother until her passing in 1997. Katie was loved and well-liked by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Most of all, her love and devotion to her Lord was very evident in her daily life.H

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters, Ernest Mace, Hazel Poteat, James Mace, Ray Mace, Dean Mace, Coy Mace, Pauline Fender, Junior Mace, Clinton Mace, Pearl Mace, Faye Waldroup, and an infant brother.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Old Nebo Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Nebo. Pastor Marvin Riddle and Pastor Randy Arrowood will officiate.
