Kathryn Ann Roland

Kathy Ann Roland, born on September 25, 1948, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 20, 2026. She was a beloved member of family and community, known for exceptional cooking skills and her deep affection for her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathy, whose maiden name was Somers, often expressed pride in her hometown of Rockport, Massachusetts, sharing wonderful stories and memories with her family throughout the years. Her ability to foster connections through her love of cooking created many cherished family gatherings.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, J.D. Roland, along with her daughters, Noel Goodman (Jamie), and Amy Kaylor. Kathy is also survived by her step-son, James Roland, and her step-daughters, Jeannine Reynolds (Johnny), Robin Servat (Kevin), Lynn Meque (Ray), and Lisa StBlanc. Kathy's siblings include her sister, Barbara Knowlton (Sid), and Emily Williamson, as well as her brother, Tom Somers (Jodie).

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Patricia Goodman, Sierra Smith (Isaiah), Hailey Kaylor (Kayden), Madison Kaylor (Zane), and her great-grandson, Daxtyn Smith. Additionally, Kathy's family expands to include 13 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ginny Somers.

A gathering of friends will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the residence. As we remember Kathy Ann Roland, we celebrate her life, her love for family, and the enduring impact she had on all who knew her.
