Kate Terry Clough

Kate Terry Clough, 90, of Nebo, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her residence.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on July 13, 1935 to the late Ellsworth Jesse Terry and Lillie Hamby Terry.

A true caregiver at heart, Kate worked in home care for most of her life. She received great joy by caring for others. Kate was known as a second mother to many of her family members, faithfully caring for them as long as she could. She loved flowers and working in her garden. Most of all, Kate loved the Lord and prayed often. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Vernon Terry, Kenneth Terry, Willie Terry, Ellsworth Terry, Jr., Richard Terry, and Mac Terry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tim Clough; siblings, Gene Terry, Nancy Huskins (Paul), and Rachel McPeters; her sister-in-law and devoted caregiver, Linda Terry; sister-in-law, Marie Terry; special nephews, David Terry and Greg Terry; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Shirlen officiating. Interment will be at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
