Kasey Nicole Woody

Kasey Nicole Woody, devoted wife, and remarkable mother, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on July 16, 1982, in Burke County, Kasey was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her.

In her life, Kasey embodied the qualities of a loving wife and a nurturing mother, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Woody and grandmother, Vivian Woody. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jay Holsonback, and her two precious sons, Preston and Tanner Berry. Kasey also leaves behind her brother, Ben Smith, and her grandfather, Scott Woody, along with a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and one nephew, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Kasey's vibrant personality shone through in everything she did. She was not only an amazing best friend especially for Jala, but also a passionate fan of Harry Potter and Gordon Ramsay, often sharing her enthusiasm with those around her. Her warmth extended beyond her human family as she was also known as a great cat mom to Sheldon, showcasing her nurturing spirit in every aspect of her life.

Kasey’s memorial service is scheduled for July 2, 2025, at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion, North Carolina, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
